Work on Anna`s orphanages has begun!!

     Fantastic news--Anna`s CD project has raised over $70,000, which is enough to build FOUR orphanages in Haiti!  Each orphanage will house 10 kids.  These kids could be in their new homes sometime soon.  The homes will be part of a village built by the Global Orphan Project, which includes a church and school.  All donations to Anna`s CD project from this point forward will go toward meeting the daily needs of these 40 kids.  In May of 2011, Anna visited Haiti again with her family and several friends and was able to see the progress of the orphan village.  She even met the first 15 boys who live there!  (see pictures under the Facebook link on this site)

Your Heart for Haiti:  From Relief to Redevelopment

     Thank you for your heart for Haiti...you are amazing!   Within weeks of the January 12th earthquake, we sent $25,000 of the total raised to help care for two thousand children living in rubble, chaos and uncertainty.  These funds helped the people at the Global Orphan Project provide food, shelter, and hands-on support to fifteen orphanages in and around Port Au Prince.  At the time, many homes were destroyed and the people had no way to get food, but there is good news!  The situation in Haiti is improving.  The kids are back in school, and our focus now turns from relief to redevelopment.

My Story

   When I was eleven years old (in January of 2008) I had the amazing opportunity to join my parents and The Global Orphan Project (formerly C3 Missions) on a mission trip to Haiti.  The children I saw living in poverty and fighting hunger were overwhelming to me.  I visited orphanages funded through The Global Orphan Project where many children have been given hope, and I could see joy in their eyes that only Christ could bring.

     After we came home, I kept thinking about the orphans and I realized how blessed I am.  One night, I was overcome with emotions and I wanted to do something for the beautiful people I had met, especially the orphans.

     Having played the violin since age five, I decided to create a CD.  Over the next year, along with my family and many musically gifted friends, we put together the seven songs on this CD.  100% of all donations received will help build more orphanages and transform the lives of many more children.  Just after I turned twelve, God gave me the song “Heart for Haiti.”  It is a song from my heart, written and sung to touch the hearts of others.  Thank you for helping the children of this poverty-stricken country and for supporting this project.

 My Vision

     My vision is to fund as many orphanages in Haiti as possible.  Your donations will allow orphanages to be built which will provide more than food and shelter; children will also be given medical attention, a chance to attend school and they will hear the good news of the Gospel through their church.  These orphanages are more than physical structures--they save children and bring them hope.

     My hope is that others will hear this CD project and be encouraged to give of their time, talent and treasure.  I pray this project will provide moments of worship that draw you nearer to Christ.  May God bless you and your family as we join together to minister to those in need.
