About the ProjectWork on Anna`s orphanages has begun!! Fantastic news--Anna`s CD project has raised over $80,000, which is enough to build FOUR orphanages in Haiti! Each orphanage will house 10 kids. These kids could be in their new homes sometime soon. The homes will be part of a village built by the Global Orphan Project, which includes a church and school. An amazing 13 year old boy with Cystic Fibrosis won and we are so happy for him! We do know the contest helped spread the word about the great needs in Haiti. For the SUSIE magazine contest in the month of December, the top winner raised over $2000 to help care for the orphans in my orphanages! Her name is Joslynn and she and her mom will go with us to Haiti in June. Here is a quote on how she raised the money, "I didn’t rely on others to give me money, and I didn’t persist in asking for it. I decided that God would work through the heart’s of the people that could give financially. He even worked in me, by putting it on my heart to give all the money I had earned in December to the girls in Haiti. I learned that most of the time, those who didn’t have a much, were the ones who gave the most." Other SUSIE "sisters" helped raise over $6000 total...wow...thank you!!!
